1. Provider and contact

The provider responsible for the Dialogue Focus browser extension is:

2. Purpose of the extension

Dialogue Focus improves the intelligibility of spoken content in the YouTube tab explicitly selected by the user. All processing takes place locally on the user's device.

3. Data processed

When the user explicitly starts Dialogue Focus, the extension temporarily processes:

• the audio stream from the selected browser tab,
• the identifier and title of that tab,
• the active tab's URL to verify that it is a supported YouTube page, and
• technical runtime and error information displayed within the extension.

Audio is processed only temporarily in memory. It is not recorded or stored permanently.

4. Local storage

Dialogue Focus stores the selected enhancement strength locally and retains a temporary technical session state. The setting remains stored until the extension data is cleared or the extension is removed. The temporary state ends with the browser session.

5. No transmission and no external services

The installed extension does not transmit audio, tab information, diagnostic information, or settings to the provider or any third party. It uses no analytics, advertising, tracking, or cloud services. The bundled speech-enhancement model runs entirely on the user's device.

6. Permissions

• activeTab: access to the tab explicitly selected by the user,
• tabCapture: capture of that tab's audio for local processing,
• offscreen: operation of local audio processing outside the popup, and
• storage: local preferences and temporary technical session state.

The extension does not request general host permissions for websites.

7. User control

Processing starts only after the user selects “Start Dialogue Focus.” It ends when the user stops it through the popup, closes the relevant tab, or navigates to an unsupported page. Stored preferences can be removed by clearing the extension's data or uninstalling the extension. Because no user data is transmitted to the provider, the provider cannot access, disclose, or delete user data on a server.

8. Limited Use compliance

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Dialogue Focus does not sell user data, use it for advertising or creditworthiness decisions, or transfer it for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose.

9. Changes

This policy will be updated if the functionality or data practices of Dialogue Focus change. The current version will always be available at the privacy policy URL listed in the Chrome Web Store.
